Maritime Resources Corp. (MAE -- TSX Venture) announces the appointments of Maynard E. Brown as Chairman of the Board, Janice Davies as Corporate Secretary and Cathy Divito as Manager, Investor Relations.
Mr. Brown has been a practicing lawyer for the past 37 years with emphasis on mineral exploration, corporate and securities matters. In addition to a Bachelor of Laws degree, Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Commerce. Mr. Brown is a director of four other publicly traded companies.
Ms. Davies is a self-employed consultant and has worked with public resource companies for over 30 years. She is engaged in maintaining corporate compliance with regulatory bodies, legal filings and office systems development and administration.
Ms. Divito has over 8 years experience with marketing various companies in the junior exploration sector. Ms. DiVito will use her extensive marketing and technical background to focus on the development of a comprehensive investor communications program for the company which will include administering an information distribution system as well as advancing the company's presence in the marketplace.
The Board of Directors reports the grant of 150,000 incentive stock options to consultants of the Company under its stock option plan, in accordance with the Company's compensation policy. The options are exercisable for five years at a price of $0.165 per share, and are subject to the policies of the TSX Venture Exchange.
